services
New Construction
Equadron inspection services go beyond passing or rejecting inspections and tests. Our inspectors also assess the suitability of quality requirements and help asset owners, engineers, and contractors appreciate the key construction variables to make cost-effective and durable decisions.
existing structures
Understanding the condition of existing structures is fundamental to defining solid rehabilitation projects and implementing long-term and low-cost repair and maintenance plans.
Equadron inspectors have extensive experience performing condition assessments of corroded infrastructure, preparing repair plans aligned with clients’ expectations, and monitoring construction activities to verify their adherence to contract requirements.

Coating Inspection
Coating Inspection
Assets life cycle costs are correlated to the painting contractor’s workmanship during surface preparation and coating application. Engaging independent coating inspection services help asset owners evaluate if the quality goals are being met.
At Equadron, we help asset owners of industrial and commercial structures mitigate the risks of corrosion by assessing the quality of both exterior coatings and interior linings. Our corrosion engineers and AMPP (formerly NACE) certified coating inspectors have extensive experience inspecting, testing, mapping, monitoring, and developing asset-specific corrosion mitigation plans. We also provide QA and QC inspections to verify the coating contractor’s adherence to the painting specification materials, workmanship, and quality requirements.
process control driven
Equadron inspectors rely on their materials, workmanship, and quality management experience to assess welding and coating contractors’ process control on behalf of general contractors and asset owners
Welding Inspection and NDT
Welding Inspection and NDT
Welding inspection consists of monitoring welding activities and inspecting completed welds, or it may require many other aspects of welded fabrication such as reviewing welding contractors’ certifications, materials inspections, dimensional checks, heat treating operations, and QC reporting review or preparation.
Materials and welds can be inspected using both destructive and non-destructive techniques. Destructive techniques physically destroy the welds to extract coupons, machine specimens, and determine their properties. On the other hand, non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques allow technicians to examine the welded joint without damaging it. Equadron’s welding inspectors and non-destructive testing (NDT) technicians mitigate the risks that undermine the long-term performance of welded fabrication.
certifications
Assessment of companies, materials, and welders’ conformance to contract requirements such as certifications and welding codes
procedures
Review of welding procedure specifications, procedure qualification records, and welding procedure data sheets
fabrication
Inspection of materials, consumables, dimensional checks, fit-up and welding activities, heat treatments, and completed welds
To properly maintain your civil or industrial assets, the first step is knowing their condition. At Equadron, we can provide a complete assessment and report on the condition of your property to help plan for its future.
condition assessment
condition assessment
Condition or integrity assessment is the process of inspecting a corroded asset such as a storage tank to determine whether there are any defects or leaks. The condition assessment is carried out using various inspection methodologies, which highlight the location of problems, their severity, and the potential scope of repair. Condition assessment enables the planning and execution of rehabilitation projects.
Equadron inspectors and engineers have the experience and certifications to perform thorough condition assessments of any asset, prepare repair plans, assist during the project tendering process, and monitor repair activities to verify their adherence to the project requirements.
Drone Inspection
Drone Inspection
Drone inspections of complex structures allow a risk-free and cost-effective inspection process where asset owners can determine the condition of their assets without the need for shutdowns.
Drones are safely piloted from the ground and can take high-resolution pictures and videos. Equadron drones can fly hundreds of meters into the air, allowing our certified pilots to observe hard-to-access structures that are otherwise dangerous and expensive to reach such as bridges, cranes, towers, and pipelines.
Drone inspections are carefully planned to thoroughly inspect critical areas and collect reliable information on maintenance needed for your asset.
The mapped status of the new or existing assets is reviewed by our Materials Engineers to analyze the structure’s condition, performance over time, and prepare maintenance plans aligned with our client’s needs.
cathodic protection surveys
cathodic protection
surveys
A wide range of civil and industrial applications use cathodic protection systems to protect for many years metal assets. The cathodic protection system installation typically occurs during original construction, major expansions, or upgrades.
Cathodic protection surveys verify whether or not the anodes protecting submerged or buried metal structures are working.
By recording potential measurements and making visual assessments of the anodes and coating, a knowledgeable CP surveyor can:
- Determine if corrosion is fully arrested
- Estimate the remaining life of the anode system
- Make recommendations to correct corrosion issues
